Travel Medicine Bites - Rabies

Travel Medicine Bites - Rabies

 Instant-access eLearning module

This edition of 'Travel Medicine Bites' focuses on rabies. The background material on a traveller bitten by a monkey was provided by Dr Susanna Roughton. Dr Roughton is a student from the 2014/15 cohort of the Faculty of Travel Medicine's Diploma in Travel Medicine course, and was awarded the Cameron Lockie prize for the highest achieving student. This edition will introduce the International and National Guidelines on the management of individuals who may have been exposed to rabies, and will allow you to test your knowledge, both before and after completing the Travel Medicine Bites activity. It takes around 15 minutes to complete this, however, if you want to do further reading around the subject this can be recorded as additional time in your reflective note.
