Burns Night is an annual celebration of Scotland’s most famous poet Robert Burns. He produced hundreds of poems, songs and letters. He wrote more than 550 poems and songs before his death in 1796. Today he is honoured with the title ‘Scotland’s national poet’. Burns Night itself marks the anniversary of Robert Burns’ birth on 25 January 1759 and the traditional Burns supper is an evening event that celebrates his life and work.
The Burns Supper will take place in the College Hall, an atmospheric wood-panelled room dating from 1893, designed by the renowned Scottish architect Sir J J Burnet (1857-1938). We cater for a wide variety of dietary requirements, please see our booking process for more details.
