This course aims to increase the confidence and knowledge in medical professionals who are involved with ENT pathologies on a regular or infrequent basis.
Overview
This course aims to increase the confidence and knowledge in medical professionals who are involved with ENT pathologies on a regular or infrequent basis. Specifically, it will provide an overview of common Emergency ENT conditions in patients who present to primary or secondary care.
It will teach strategies for the evaluation and management of these patients, building knowledge, skills and safe behaviour. It will increase confidence and give a foundation upon which medical professionals can increase their experience in the clinical environment.
The mix of didactic and practical teaching with a high faculty to learner ratio will allow for an informal and relaxed yet structured learning environment.
Furthermore, this course maps to curriculum competencies in the Foundation Programme, Core Medical and Surgical Training, Emergency Medicine, General Practice and Paediatrics.
