Overview

Frailty Conference is a hybrid event which will bring together internationally renowned experts, from different health care backgrounds. Discussions will focus on caring for older adults in different settings – from community to hospital and with different conditions such as cancer and ACS.   

 

Additionally, topics will include policy and evidence which helps us support older adults to age positively. Frailty; It's everyone's Business.

 

Intended outcomes:  

 

By attending this conference, you’ll be able to: 

 

  • Understand how you can support positive ageing – including the British Geriatrics Society’s Frailty Blueprint. 

  • Support older adults in different settings from nursing homes to unscheduled care. 

  • Care for older adults with a variety of health conditions.  

The conference will also include a keynote lecture from Professor Sir Chris Whitty,  Chief Medical Officer for England.

To consolidate your learning, we record all sessions and make them available to all registered delegates for up to a month after the conference.  

 

Claiming your CPD:

 
This conference offers 6 CPD for everyone who attends. This can be claimed via your College account. CPD points will be available after the conference as well as recordings of any sessions you missed. You can download your digital CPD certificate from your College account.

Who is this conference for? 

 

The Frailty Conference is aimed at all health care professionals (not just geriatricians) who are involved in the care of older adults. This includes: 

 

  • Physicians 

  • Geriatricians 

  • General physicians 

  • Physical medicine and rehabilitation practitioners   

  • Specialist nurses 

  • Health and social care workers 

 

Poster competition: 

 

We are currently accepting entries for the Frailty Conference poster competition. This is a great opportunity to showcase your skills and understanding, as well as get an edge for your future career development.  

 

The top submissions will be invited to present their entry as part of the conference with the winner announced at the end. All other accepted abstracts will feature as part of a digital showcase.
