This one-day conference will feature interactive presentations, case-based learning and cutting-edge lectures delivered by both national and international experts.

Overview

Celebrating its eighth year, we are delighted to announce that the Glasgow Gastro Conference is returning and will be delivered in a face-to-face format. This one-day conference will feature interactive presentations, case-based learning and cutting-edge lectures delivered by both national and international experts. They will provide timely updates on a wide range of topics in gastroenterology, hepatology and endoscopy. 

 

By attending this conference, you’ll be able to: 
  

  • Recognise the role of the combined surgical clinic  

  • Gain a greater understanding of GI bleeding  

  • Acquire insights on frailty in liver disease 

  • Expand knowledge on weight loss drugs

To consolidate your learning, we will record all sessions and make them available to all registered delegates for up to a month after the conference. 

 

Claiming your CPD:   
Glasgow Gastro Conference offers 6 CPD points for everyone who attends. This can be claimed via your College account. CPD points will be available after the conference as well as recordings of any sessions you missed. You can download your digital CPD certificate from your College account.

Who is this conference for? 

Glasgow Gastro Conference is aimed at: 

  • Gastroenterology and hepatology consultants and trainees  

  • General and acute medicine consultants and trainees  

  • Gastroenterology and hepatology nursing staff  

  • Specialty and specialist doctors (SAS) 

 

Poster competition:  

We are currently accepting entries for the Glasgow Gastro Conference poster competition.   

 

This is a great opportunity to showcase your skills and understanding, as well as get an edge for your future career development.  

 

The top submissions will be invited to present their entry as part of the conference with the winner announced at the end. All other accepted abstracts will feature as part of a digital showcase.

Abstract submission deadline: Friday 8 August 2025.  

 

Send your submission to donna.johnston@rcpsg.ac.uk using the subject heading ‘Glasgow Gastro Conference poster submission.’   

 

All shortlisted entrants will be required to attend the conference. For those who aren’t already Members of the College, membership starts at just £15 a year and allows you to benefit from a discounted registration fee.   

 

Attending the conference: 

This event is in-person. That means you get the chance to join us at the College in Glasgow. 

 

At the College, you’ll benefit from state-of-the-art facilities, as well as lunch prepared by our award-winning chefs.  

 

The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow is conveniently located in Glasgow City Centre, within easy reach of major train stations, motorways and airports. Hotel and parking discounts can be accessed after booking.
