Lectures will cover:
- Radiological interpretation including the use of advanced imaging such as CBCT/ CT/ MRI
- The role of conservative and radical treatment options
- The value of a pathologist's input in surgical decision making
- Management of Juvenile ossifying fibroma
- Medical management of giant cell lesions

Aims
The aims of this symposium are to understand the role of advanced imaging in early identification and management of potentially destructive benign lesions of the jaws, the relevance of pathogenesis in management of the rapidly enlarging lesions, to appreciate the rationale behind conservative and radical treatment options of these benign tumours and to recognise the importance of long term patient outcomes.
Objectives
- To be able to discuss differential diagnosis of giant cell lesions and fibro-osseous lesions
- To have a understanding of the role of aetiology and patheogenesis
- Be aware of how to prepare the patient for anticipated surgical outcome
- To be able to recognise available radical and conservative management strategies
