Overview
The International Orthopaedic and Trauma Conference returns to the Royal College for its 10th year. A hybrid event for all involved in orthopaedic and trauma surgery, which aims to provide clinical updates, topical presentations, lively panel discussions and peer to peer networking opportunities.
This conference is run by Mr Chris Crome, Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon, Mr Anthony Egglestone, Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon and Mr Bilal Jamal, Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon & Clinical Director.

- Trauma
- Foot and ankle surgery
- Paediatric surgery
- Hand surgery
- Hip surgery
In an exciting addition to the programme this year all in-person delegates can engage in small group learning, specific to their career level. This includes a practical Sawbones session and an interactive Pensions and Job Planning presentation.
By attending this conference, you’ll be able to:
Develop expertise in a multidisciplinary approach to effectively manage complex diabetic foot complications and achieve optimal patient outcomes.
Gain insight into the diverse and intricate nature of sports injuries and the crucial role of MDT clinics in their assessment and management.
Recognise the importance of self-care and the impact of stress and fatigue on clinical practice.

This conference offers 6 CPD points value for everyone who attends. This can be claimed via your College account. CPD points will be available after the conference as well as recordings of any sessions you missed. You can download your digital CPD certificate from your College account.

Poster Competition
We're currently accepting entries for the International Orthopaedic and Trauma Conference poster competition. This is a great opportunity to showcase your skills and understanding, as well as get an edge for your future career development.
The top submissions will be invited to present their entry as part of the conference with the winner announced at the end. All other accepted abstracts will feature as part of a digital showcase.

Abstract submission deadline: 11th April 2025
All shortlisted entrants will be required to attend the conference. For those who aren’t already Members of the College, membership starts at just £15 a year and allows you to benefit from a discounted registration fee.
