In 1921, researchers from the University of Toronto discovered insulin, the first lifesaving treatment for diabetes. This conference marks the 100-year anniversary of this revolutionary discovery and gives an opportunity to reflect on its history, before welcoming a range of clinical specialists to explore both its current and future uses.

We’re delighted to welcome Professor Bernard Zinman to give our Keynote Lecture at the conference. Professer Zinman is a Research Scientist at Mount Sinai Hospital and Professor of Medicine, University of Toronto, and will explore the past 100 years of clinical research on insulin.
