The TC White Conference is named after Professor TC White (1911-1980). As the dental representative on the College council, Professor White played an important role in promoting the development of the Fellowship in Dental Surgery, which was established in 1967. He was a Professor of Orthodontics at the University of Glasgow and developed the first postgraduate qualification in Orthodontics in the UK. Through his will, he bequeathed a legacy to the College to support dental education and research; thanks to this, we name the TC White Conference after him.
