Overview

The webinar will focus on contemporary, state-of-the-art dental ceramics and provide a background on how ceramics have developed, current technologies and the future of materials processing for dentistry.

Will Palin is a Professor and Chair in Biomedical Materials Science and Director of Research at the School of Dentistry, Institute of Clinical Sciences, University of Birmingham. His research focuses on the development of biomaterials, medical devices and related technologies for bone and tooth restoration and repair, including light therapy and development of novel dental and medical materials. Will also promotes his research in teaching activity and has recently developed a successful postgraduate taught MSc programme in Dental Materials Science. He is Programme Lead for MSc Dental Materials Science and Head of Dental Biomaterials teaching speciality for undergraduate dental students and therapists.

• Introduce additive manufacture and the future of dental materials processing
